Yes, it's an EEPROM. I misread his part number, and thought AMD rather than ATMEL.

It's not likely it's terribly different, overall, from the FLASH memory I thought it was. It's the part he's already got and wants to use, though, so let's stop telling him he's wrong, shall we? He might consider using what you guys want him to if YOU'll buy 'em for him, but they still have to do what he wants, and that includes fitting into his existing socket. RE |
