Interestingly, I was thinking of playing with that exact same thing, too, based on a SiLabs evaluation board I have here. I hadn't gotten around to it because I've been extremely busy with another project. But it's fascinating that you got it working so quickly. I'm as impressed with the bitmapped image you created as with the software that displayed it.

I think this is going to help me get "re-excited" about the idea of an 8052 computer. The thread had pretty much stalled and I've had less time to think about this recently, but now that you're well on your way to a functioning video system I think we should definitely move forward on this project.

I'd ask about how much CPU time the current video takes to display but I'll try to be patient and wait for your user page. :)
