This goes along with Erik's comment regarding the "new" flag being rather unreliable. This has been something Erik has mentioned for years, literally, and which I've agreed has to be fixed--for years. The solution is less obvious, especially when we want to make the "new flag" work from multiple computers. So that has to be saved in the 8052.com database for each user. And considering we have thousands of users and thousands of messages I still haven't decided an efficient way to implement that. Which is why the problem still exists years later. :)

If you recall, I have found a solution: find a post in the list entered not too long before you left the previous PC read that one and click "refresh". It works!

The general response in the past was that very few people wanted to have the forum split into separate forums for separate topics
My argument there is, and has been, how often have we not solved a "software problem" with hardware and vv.
