When I see a negative karma score that I think was unfairly given, I give a positive karma score to try to make up for it. Unfortunately, in the "Gimme code", it being -3, there is not corresponding +3 karma score, so it takes at least 3 positive karma scores to overcome that unfairly given "Gimme code".
