Posts that have gone dormant then get brought back by a new posting be flagged so we do not start to read all the old posts again but can just read the new entry. This is true and I think we've all seen it. I can't recall a single thread that was older than a month or two that was usefully revived. On one hand it'd be great if old threads could be revived usefully rather than creating a new thread on the same topic a few months (or years) later. On the other hand this just doesn't seem to happen. As such I was thinking that maybe all threads should auto-lock if there hasn't been a post in more than, say, 30 days. Would this be reasonable?
