#85261 - complaints and more info. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
![]() Hi All. Maybe if we knew why you wanted to do this we might be able to make better suggestions...?
Andy Neil But if you REALLY want lots of hc573's, what's the problem?
Russell Bull There isnt exactly a lot of information about what the specifications for the project are.
Jez Smith without knowing what you are doing, I can not determine wich of those may be appropiate.
Erik Malund What happened to you dear fellas? You started a helpfull understanding of the problem, but suddenly a "cosmic conspiracy" started against me. Even Jez whose nice sujjestion of CPLD started a nice thread in my brain ended up with the contagious symptom of "I won't say even one single word, unless you tell me more." -No offence dearest Jez, Just a friendly complaint. And then I was crucified with a "-1" from "up" because of not writing something in the body of my reply, well I'm not in the habbit of telling or writing more than necassary: I can't multiplex them, that's all. And to the moderator or site manager, with all due respet, the judgments made on the replies/questions/answers need to be made by at least a council, or committee or a group of members or something. It's not very pleasant to receive a "-1" because of a proffessional's "personal" viewpoint. Thanks again every body, and please excuse my mood, I happen to be somehow straightforward. More info. on the project: the the MCU reads tha data from a FLASH and sends in to 32 latches on 8 doughterboards or driverboards (each containing 4 HC573s) through flat cables. Okay, series tewrmination 35 to 50 ohm in done in the motherboard and when necessary (high freq. or reflection more seemingly) thvenin termination in receivers more over every other wire in the flat is grounded in both sides and another couple of precautions is done too. serial implementations even with the nice sujjestion of HC595 instead of I2C is impossible due to the lousy (slow) nature of it and the overhead on the '51. Muxing is simply impossible. Ask me exactly what I am supposed to say about this project. Best. |
