#86376 - Then, why don't you discuss it? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Well, honestly you are right, but the emphasis is definitely not on the confirmation. Ok, but you didn't discuss the serial transmission technique. You only mentioned, that you are not 'serial thinking'. Your flat ribbon solution has no filtering and no cable shield. How will your application resist cell phone radiation, for instance? How will you get your application CE compliant? How will you find a quiet point on your board to leave all the many wires, that you will not radiate a universe of common mode noise? Only a few microamperes of common mode current in the wrong frequency range running along your cable will make your application totally fail CE radiation test. Why do you think are there slew rate limited RS485 drivers on the market? Why do you think symmetrical signal transmission is used? Why do you think shielded cables are used? Why do you think common mode filtering is used? All issues which you neglect. And instead of taking our warnings seriously and discuss about them you only mention that you are not 'serial thinking'... Kai |
