Hi,

Letb us just say 20 mA (constant in non-mpx - avg in mpx) gives a curren of about 20A. On a 'regular' PCB I guess that would require a trace about 1 inch wide.
"Constant in non-mux" != "avg in mux"
In mux approach the ULN delivers 200mA to each row, hence each column consumes 200mAx32=6.4A. Even with 2mm tracks for VLED and GNDLED a two layer PCB will do. I did it last week.
