Hi,

Consider:
Circuit1: A 300W PS connected to a 4700uF cap.
Circuit2: A 300W PS connected to a 4700uF cap. in parallel with a 10K

This would even increase the inrush current!
Now, you please tell me which circuit causes a more inrush current? In the first ckt the in the very 1st moment the PS "see"s a short, but in the 2nd, the rc ckt has it's own Taw(or somehing)=RC

A 300W @ 5V supply can supply 60A
but will it?

the resistor should sink 20% = 12A
Why? I thought it'll sink 5v/10K = .5mA

Or maybe I'm making a terribly big mistake.

Hope not.
