#87305 - More Qs on P-MOSFETs Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Russel,
And thanks for your detailed description. The on and off delay of IRF series is some nano-seconds ... seems to be okay with me. I suggest you read up on transistors and mosfets to give yourself the whole picture. I suggest you get yourself an engineering textbook that covers semiconductors to give you some background in the different devices and their considerations when designing. 8A minimum! - The ON state in my system is some 300us with the duty cycle of 1/32, i.e. each column is ON for 300us in every 10ms. In the datasheet of IRF9620 we have: Pulsed Drain Current = 14 How can we determine how long this "Pulsed" is? I mean what size pulses do they call "Pulsed"? Then if the size is << 300us n every 10ms I can conclude that it's necessary to use bigger P-MOSFETs like 9530, but if "Pulsed" >= 300us in every 10ms I'd better use cheaper IRF9620s. Best. |
