The expensive high flux LEDs I use give umpteen light @ 40mA. Considering the fact that for a 32 mux the needed current is √32 . I we shall have 5.5 x 40 = 220mA. I evaluate this value as appropriate or something. Yes, if you use high flux LEDs, then at 220mA there can still be a proportionality between current and brightness, and this √32 stuff can work. I understand that you want to do this 32:1 multiplexing, in order to keep the application less complex, right? Good luck! Kai |
